This image logo is used for Sacramento History Museum link button The Sacramento History Museum is a reproduction of the 1854 City Hall and Waterworks building, which sat on our current site. The original building was completed in the spring of 1854 and was the city's first municipal structure. It housed the City Waterworks, City Offices - including the Mayor's office and Fire Department - the City Jail, and Police Court.
This image logo is used for California Automobile Museum link button In 1982, a group of volunteers met to discuss the concept of an auto museum to be located in Sacramento-the first auto museum in the West to be established in perpetuity. Before the close of the meeting, a challenge was made by an attendee, who produced a one hundred dollar bill and asked who among the group would match it. Five additional one hundred dollar bills came forth and the plan was born. The paperwork was begun to form the non-profit corporation and foundation, and the fruition was seen exactly one year later, on October 5, 1983, when the California Vehicle Foundation was established.

This image logo is used for Chando's Tacos link button Spring break April 1985, my family drove from our home in Northern California in a 1970's red and white Ford F150 with a red camper shell to Tijuana, Mexico. As you enter Mexico you see the "Bienvenido a Tijuana" sign. Beneath the neon lights and busy streets you can smell the sweet aroma of Grilled Carne Asada and Adobada. You see one in every corner. White taco carts, silver bowls, and all the taco vendors. This is where I discovered my love of tacos.
